GreenFacts workshop: How to write a scientific article.
Brussels, 03 November 2004. On November 15, 2004, GreenFacts and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) will be holding a presentation and workshop entitled: How to write a scientific article. The speaker is Margery Watson, president of INTECOM, the association of technical writers, and the director of Documentation Online Consultancy Services Ltd in New Zealand. The event is aimed at scientists, researchers, technical writers and doctoral students publishing scientific articles. “While GreenFacts main role is to disseminate clear, impartial scientific information to non-specialists,” remarked Jacques de Selliers, GreenFacts General Manager, “one of the objectives within our scientific stewardship programme is to promote means for scientists to communicate better to a wider audience.” Margery Watson’s visit to Brussels is part of a month-long European speaking tour. The event will take place between 12:00 and 14:00 on November 15 in the VUB Etterbeek campus in Brussels, in room D 2.01. A light lunch will be served. She has been a technical communicator since 1986, working mainly in software documentation, and is the director of Documentation Online Consultancy Services Ltd.
