Brussels, June 3, 2004 Twentieth Century Fox has recently released a film, The Day After Tomorrow, which depicts an apocalyptic scenario of unlikely rapid consequences of the global climate change.

"This film is an entertaining Hollywood fiction, " Jacques de Selliers, General Manager of GreenFacts declared, "while climate change is a worrying fact. GreenFacts is proud to provide non-specialists with the current state of the scientific knowledge on this very important issue, as found in the Third Assessment Report, an authoritative scientific consensus document published in 2001 by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)."

For interested individuals and journalists, GreenFacts has faithfully summarized this extensive report in a clear and accessible language and published it on www.GreenFacts.org in a user-friendly three-level structure of increasing detail. As for all GreenFacts publications, these summaries have been validated by its independent Scientific Board. They are available in English, French, Spanish and German.
