Popularizing science without taking position

As expressed in our Mission Statement, our founders believed that "In the environmental and health fields, the current state of scientific knowledge is an essential basis for constructive debates and informed decisions".

Therefore, our Mission is to " bring complex scientific consensus reports on health and the environment to the reach of non-specialists", by summarizing them faithfully, without taking position in the debates surrounding them.

We also provide, for information only, links to a few third party websites that either provide factual information, present other views, or link to our website.

We cannot publish positions other than those expressed in the consensus documents we summarize, nor can we publicly take any personal position, notably on the points of uncertainties or on policy debates surrounding them, such as the notions of precautionary principle, acceptable risk and remedial actions.

Our communication activities

We regularly engage into communication activities supporting our mission.

For instance, we participate in selected conferences and events.
We have also organized a few events bringing together different stakeholders around the theme of science communication.
Our aim is to publicize our website and to network with other organizations, but we cannot take positions in the debate.

We issue newsletters and occasional press releases to announce our publications and activities. We try to ensure that these mailings cannot be perceived as taking any position.
