Spanish translations of Water Disinfectants and Dioxins released Scientific information on water disinfectants and dioxins is now more readily available for Spanish-speaking non-specialists. French translations will be on-line very soon. GreenFacts Workshop: How to write a scientific article. As part of its science stewardship programme, GreenFacts and Vrije Universiteit Brussel organized a workshop on scientific writing on 15 November 2004. Around 80 scientists, researchers and students attended an animated presentation by Margery Watson, president of INTECOM – an association of 30,000 technical writers. See the report on the events page. GreenFacts is recruiting a Science Editor In order to strengthen its scientific team and increase its publications pace, GreenFacts is recruiting a Science Editor. Please see the job description for more information. GreenFacts and the EU Environment-Health Action Plan conference GreenFacts will be present at the Dutch Presidency’s implementation conference for the European Commission’s Environment and Health Action Plan (Egmond aan zee, December 1-3, 2004). Following its activities in the EU SCALE Consultative Forum on Children’s Health issues, GreenFacts will be presenting a poster on how a SCALE document could be communicated on the Three-Level Structure platform. Also, GreenFacts’ Operations Manager, David Zaruk will be serving as the rapporteur for the Risk Communications parallel session, where he will also give the lead presentation. IUCN World Conservation Conference GreenFacts was present at the third IUCN World Conservation Congress (Bangkok, 17-25 November 2004). As a member of IUCN, GreenFacts is presently planning a series of biodiversity publications.
