Green Week 2006 - European Commission DG Environment

GreenFacts' stand and participation at the Green Week

GreenFacts was present at the Green Week 2006 from 30 May to 2 June 2006 where it presented its new Digest on Biodiversity, the theme of the four-day event. A print version (730 kB) of this Digest (now available in several languages - see list) was distributed by the European Commission DG Environment to all Green Week visitors . At the GreenFacts stand, visitors were encouraged to participate in a Quiz on biodiversity. The necessary information to answer the quiz correctly could be found in the print version.

Drawn among those who answered the quiz correctly, the winner is Mr. Gherardo Fracassi from ERSAF, Regione Lombardia.

The Biodiversity Digest was published in collaboration with Countdown 2010, UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre, and IUCN Regional Office for Europe.

On Wednesday 31 May, GreenFacts' General Manager Jacques de Selliers participated as a panelist in the Green Week afternoon session number 9 "Understanding for Management: research, indicators and monitoring".
