GreenFacts2003 ConferenceAnnoncement - Schedule - Workshop Themes - Press - Proceedings - Photos Conveying Science into Policy"Science Communication and Environmental Decision-making"at the Atomium, in Brussels, 16 October 2003. Press InvitationMembers of the press are invited to attend the GreenFacts afternoon conference from 13.45 in the Atomium Europa ball. The speakers will share their perspectives on how science can be conveyed into environmental policy. After the conference, GreenFactswill facilitate journalists in meeting and interviewing scientific and environmental communications specialists in the Atomium Panorama ball (from 16.00-18.00). Scientific information on the environment is communicated by universities, governments, NGOs and industry. The conference on October 16, 2003 will bring together many experts specializing in science and environmental communications from across Europe as well as America, Asia and Africa. Press KitA Press Kit will be distributed containing résumés of the invited stakeholders, speakers and participants. GreenFacts will provide journalists with the opportunity to contact these specialists during the cocktail. On top of the scheduled speakers, journalists will be able to speak to experts involved in government programmes to promote science and the environment, science-based policy pressure groups, science shops, industry tools for communicating science, risk communication and scientific publications. The Press Kit will also contain a GreenFacts press release and event announcement as well as more information about the GreenFacts. During the cocktail, journalists will be able to meet its members.
